About the Med-Lift 5500W Lift Chair: The 5500W is an extra-wide 2-position wall-away lift chair that comes with a low voltage Okin motor and a 375 pound weight capacity. Because it is a wall-away lift chair, the 5500W can be placed much closer to the wall than other lift chairs and still fully recline. The seat is a super comfortable biscuit-back design. The 5500W has a hardwood frame, steel lift mechanism and scissors hardware, and a super strong uni-constructed seat-back assembly.
